Except on the sunday night, there was a show called Ed Sullivan that had all the rock bands on, and HE wanted to watch Bonanza ! Oh ! You get Bonanza over here ? I'm sorry about that ! So, you know what I mean when I say all my life I hated Lauren Green. That's OK. But, then, I grew. I got little older and I became a western freak. So, ............ wherever he is, he is tapdancing in his grave, my father something. But I also was interested in the sheriff while I was like him, on that side of the law, lot of rock ......... interest in outlaws. But I was partly interested in what it 'd like to be the sheriff. This is a song set at the San Diego border station, and it's about a young border patrolman get out of the army and go to work for the INS, and that's a confusing job, and there's a Mexican writer, Carlos Fuente, who said California was Mexico until 1848, and that the border's really just a scar. It's hard to know where the line really is."

Voici une chanson qui se passe au poste frontalier de San Diego, et ça parle d'une jeune garde frontalier qui quitte l'armée et vient travailler pour l'INS [Internal National Security]. C'est un boulot déroutant, et il y a un écrivain mexicain, Carlos Fuentes, qui a dit que la Californie était mexicaine jusqu'en 1848, et que la frontière n'est en fait qu'une cicatrice. C'est difficile de savoir où est vraiment la séparation."
